What are eCertificates?
eCertificates, or electronic Cyclescheme certificates, are information delivered securely by email to the scheme participant that allows them to collect their chosen bike and safety equipment from their selected store. Ecertificates are issued immediately after receipt of payment from an employer and are valid for sixty days from date of issue.
Cyclescheme Certificate include the value (up to £1000); an eCertificate number; date of issue; employers name and address; stores where the certificate can be used and a Certificate Redemption Code. An eCertificate also comes with clear guidelines for the employee to redeem the Cyclescheme Certificate.
eCertificates must be validated and redeemed online, using the Cyclescheme Extranet. If the eCertificate has not validated/redeemed when the bike leaves the store, the store will not be paid.
Client employers can choose between either eCertificates or paper Certificates for their employees. An email is sent to confirm an eCertificate has been issued to a participant.
The key items of data are the Certificate Reference and the Redemption Code. All Participants must show a valid form of photographic identification when presenting their eCertificate.
The online redemption process for Cyclescheme Certificates is exactly the same whether electronic or paper. The participant visits the store to collect the bike, presenting their eCertificate.

All codes are case sensitive. Enter the Certificate Code in the ‘Certificate or iGo Voucher code’ field under ‘Check or redeem a Certificate or iGo Bike Gift Voucher’ heading and click ‘Make request’.
You will then guided to a ‘Check Certificate’ screen where you are asked to add the redemption code and the frame number of the bike. Confirm you have checked the details of the eCertificate and seen photographic ID. Then click ‘Redeem Certificate’ for confirmation. The bike and equipment can now be released to the participant. Payment for the eCertificate will be processed the following working day.
LEARN MOREIf you enter the eCertificate code incorrectly, or the eCertificate is not valid for your store, you will be taken to an invalid Certificate code screen. If you cannot identify the problem, or the participant wants to switch their eCertificate to your store, they need to contact the Cyclescheme Help Desk between 09:00 – 17:30 on 0844 879 5101.
You only have three attempts at inputting the redemption code. Ask the participant if they have requested and sent a second eCertificate email, but are trying to use the original redemption code. After three attempts, you must contact the Cyclescheme Help Desk.
Cyclescheme can validate and redeem the eCertificate online on your behalf if your internet is not working when the scheme participant visits your store to collect the bike package. Telephone Cyclescheme with the eCertificate details you have and confirm you have seen photographic ID.
